On 1 July 2009, the Department of Finance and Deregulation issued Guidelines on Non-Campaign Recruitment Advertising. These guidelines mandated the use of a single whole-of-government composite recruitment advertisement for all advertised Government positions. Comcare is subject to the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997 and is encouraged to comply with these guidelines.
By incorporating these guidelines into our recruitment policies and procedures Comcare has reduced its expenditure on recruitment advertising from $ 122 758 in 2009–10 to $12 877 in 2010–11, this is a saving of $109 881.
