Indigenous traineeship program
Comcare supports the recruitment and development of Indigenous Australians in the Australian Public Service (APS).
The Indigenous Entry Level Recruitment Program (IELRP) coordinated by the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) is a 12 month traineeship that is designed to recruit applicants with limited experience in government into ongoing employment in the APS.
Comcare supports trainees by:
- practical work and structured training
- an opportunity to complete a nationally recognised qualification in Business at the Certificate III or Certificate IV in Government level
- training and development opportunities
- mentoring and coaching
Trainees need to be motivated, enthusiastic, possess integrity, and have good communication and interpersonal skills and be interested in undertaking a nationally recognised 12 month traineeship.
