One example is Comcare’s “executive open door policy” where we believe that no senior manager is too busy or important to take the time to talk to an employee.

Our Information Technology services are excellent including up-to-date computer technology and a personalised Help Desk service for all Comcare staff.


2. Generous Leave Entitlements

generous leave entitlementsComcare’s current Collective Agreement (CA) contains very generous leave entitlements compared with other Government organisations and private institutions including recognition and portability of leave, annual leave (20 days per year), purchased leave, personal/carer’s leave (20 days per year), miscellaneous leave, maternity leave and parental leave. After 10 years of service employees are offered 3 months full pay long service leave.


3. Study Leave/Study Options

study leaveComcare supports employees who wish to further study at a tertiary level.  Comcare’s CA outlines the availability of up to $3000.00 a year of study assistance directed towards course fees and up to 5 hours a week paid leave to attend courses.

We have provisions for flexible working arrangements including remote access availability, generous leave entitlements and various employee wellness programs and OH&S programs including a personalised workplace assessment for all new employees and employee assistance program for you and your immediate family to cater for work-life balance.

7. Performance Management

performance managementAchieve results through performance management. Everybody at Comcare has an Individual Action Plan (IAP).

The IAP is an ongoing process with individual goals (results) implemented in partnership with your manager.  Our IAP’s are designed to improve understanding of individual responsibilities, clarity about the work we do and expected performance standards.  Relevant and up-to-date business plans are in place throughout Comcare.

8. Reward & Recognition

Staff who perform well can be recognised for their efforts through our formal Reward & Recognition process. Where effort has been outstanding, there are mechanisms in place for Comcare to recognise and/or reward that effort including CEO Awards and Employee Customer Service Awards.


9. Christmas Closedown

Christmas closedownComcare’s offices close down during Christmas and the New Year’s period giving all employees a break and a chance to spend some time with family and friends.

 


10. Generous Remuneration

negotiable remunerationComcare is able to offer generous remuneration points of entry to all staff dependent on skills and experience. Comcare offers 15.4% superannuation and provides assistance in relocation costs.
