Medical expenses
For many treatment types, Comcare has established an appropriate payment limit. These payment limits are based on rates set by the various professional associations, such as Australian Medical Association.
You should ask your medical provider whether they charge more than the Comcare limit.
In limited circumstances, Comcare may reimburse more than its stated limit. For example, where someone lives in a remote location and only has access to treatment practitioners who charge more than the Comcare limit.
