The SRC Act provides for payment of lump sum compensation for permanent impairment and non-economic loss resulting from a work-related injury, provided the degree of permanent impairment is assessed as at least 10% or at least 5% for binaural hearing loss. The degree of permanent impairment (if any) is to be assessed by reference to this guide.
