Case managers

Under the SRC Act, employers are responsible and accountable for the safe and early return to work of their injured employees.

The employer may appoint a case manager to co-ordinate the activities necessary to assist the employer to meets its duties for managing the rehabilitation and safe and early return to work of an injured employee.

Injury management

The injury management section of this site provides case managers with essential information on early intervention, return to work planning, working with rehabilitation providers and monitoring their organisation's injury management and claims performance.

Claims management

The 'determining authority' is responsible for processing and managing claims, while the case manager is responsible for co-ordinating the employer's responses to requests for information from the determining authority.
