JPAs Relating to the 2007 Amendments to the SRC Act

The Jurisdictional Policy Advices listed below were released following the commencement of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2007 which amended the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

JPA 2007/7 concerning the amendments to the definition of 'injury' and 'disease'.

JPA 2007/8 concerning the amendments to workers compensation coverage during journeys and recess breaks.

JPA 2007/9 concerning the amendment to the definition of 'suitable employment'.

JPA 2007/10 concerning the amendments to the indexation of Normal Weekly Earnings of current employees.

JPA 2007/11 concerning the amendments that provide for an increase in funeral benefits.

JPA 2007/12 concerning the amendments that affect the way post- retirement weekly compensation payments are calculated.

JPA 2007/13 concerning the amendments that specify the rate of interest to be taken into account when calculating the weekly compensation payments for ex-employees in receipt of a superannuation lump-sum.

JPA 2007/14 concerning the indexation of the funeral benefit amendment for the new finanical year.
