Workers' Compensation Statistics
Introduction
Comcare’s strategic plan focuses on improving occupational health and safety, rehabilitation and workers’ compensation services for Commonwealth employees.
Our vision, which requires working in partnership with our customers and stakeholders – is ‘Australia’s safest workplaces’.
We are intent on making workplaces in our jurisdiction the safest in Australia. A strong emphasis on measuring and evaluating occupational health and safety, rehabilitation and compensation performance outcomes and identifying improvement strategies will contribute to achieving this vision.
Claims Statistics
Comcare delivers claims and injury management services to Australian and ACT Government employers. A full report on Comcare’s claims management performance is provided in the Comcare Annual Report.
Target setting is a key strategy for engaging agencies in improving health and safety in the workplace. These statistics provide a snapshot of Comcare’s Targets for achieving better workplace health, safety and rehabilitation, along with additional injury management and claim performance data.
These statistics are updated regularly and represent claims received by Comcare for the Australian and ACT Government (i.e. excluding licensed self-insurers).
