2019 National WHS Forums

The 2019 National Work Health and Safety (WHS) forum program builds on Comcare’s commitment of working together with our jurisdiction for safer and healthier workplaces.

About the forums

The forums provide an opportunity for Comcare and WHS Act regulated stakeholders to engage and build relationships, and for attendees to gain insight into a range of WHS and Comcare related information.

The forums also provide an opportunity for stakeholders to provide feedback on the work of Comcare to identify areas where additional support, guidance and resources can be provided.

The WHS forums aim to support regulated entities to understand their WHS and rehabilitation obligations and encourage them to consider and adopt better WHS and rehabilitation practices.

Who should attend?

This forum is open to members of Comcare’s jurisdiction. It will be relevant to all members of the jurisdiction who work in or have an interest in work health and safety.

Why should you attend?

The forum program will include sessions on:

  • Comcare and the Comcare Scheme
  • WHS regulation, including national and local updates
  • Identifying, understanding and addressing unknown WHS risk
  • Contractor management and WHS
  • Psychosocial hazards and risk management in the workplace
  • Engaging your leaders, managers and employees to improve WHS.

Attendees will be encouraged to implement what they have learned back at the workplace with tools, resources and links provided after the forum.
