1.30pm	OHS business case investment [pdf] Effective organisational strategies to manage the risks of injury and disease can assist employers to not only meet their statutory responsibilities and reduce costs, but also to increase productivity, raise staff morale, improve workplace relations and enhance performance. This presentation outlined elements of an organisational health model and provided tools to build a case for investment in organisational health initiatives.

3.30pm	OHS in contractor management - a workshop for business line managers [pdf] An interactive workshop which looked at OHS matters as they relate to contracts. This session was an opportunity to share experiences and good practice with business line managers and OHS practitioners to develop a clearer understanding of how to incorporate OHS into contracts when managing contractors. 9.00am	Health & Safety Representatives – key contributors [pdf] Ask employees and employers in a workplace to describe the role of a Health and Safety Representative (HSR) and you will get a variety of answers and possibly some puzzled looks. Some may say “solve my OHS problems”, others may say “what’s a HSR and what do they do?” This session was designed to help clarify what HSR’s do in the workplace through some practical examples.
