Day three of the conference showcased a Safety in your generation luncheon. Through an entertaining format, generations X, Y and the baby boomers will demonstate who’s really the leader in workplace health and safety.

Greg_McCann_Profile_PhotoGreg is a Partner at Sparke Helmore and heads up the Workplace Relations and Safety practice in Melbourne. He specialises in providing incident response, strategic safety advice and manages all employment, discrimination and sexual harassment complaints from the company’s perspective.

A former prosecutor for NSW Police Service and WorkCover Authority, Greg is a skilled advocate, and has represented many of his clients before courts and tribunals across Victoria, New South Wales and Western Australia. He has developed and presented training tools for executives and management to ensure they have the skills and competence to demonstrate due diligence, and to minimise discrimination, bullying and sexual harassment in the workplace.

Performing on stage or television, in radio or print media, Jean Kittson has done it all. Jean Kittson has been a writer and performer with Sydney’s 2DAY FM, a regular guest on ABC’s 702, and a breakfast presenter with MIX 106.5.

Assistant Director OHS Legal Advisor, Project Harmony
 
Gordon Henderson has 20 years' experience as a workplace relations lawyer specialising in OHS law, including being a partner of national law firms PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal and DLA Phillips Fox. He has regularly spoken at conferences and seminars on employment and OHS law. Gordon has also represented government regulators and employers in a broad range of OHS matters including prosecutions under state and federal OHS laws. Over the last 3 years Gordon has played a key role in assisting Comcare in the development and implementation of harmonised national work health and safety laws.

Comic and radio personality Matt Tilley is Australia's current master of prank and impersonation. Matt's outrageously funny Gotcha Calls have been a national hit across Austereo's Today Network stations and Triple M in Sydney.

Matt’s Gotcha Calls have spawned four successful CD's with sales of the CD's raising over $500,000 for Women's and Children's hospital charities.

Matt is an exceptional radio talent, with over 20 years on air. In such a highly competitive field, Matt’s breakfast shows have consistently reached number one more often than any other over the past decade. The Matt and Jo Show (with Jo Stanley, Adam Richard and Troy Ellis) continues to be the leading FM radio breakfast show in Melbourne and regularly has more listeners tuning in than any other breakfast show in Australia.

Shane Bilsborough has a masters Degree in Human Nutrition with major studies in fat metabolism and chronic disease, such as heart disease, diabetes and obesity. He was the Founding Executive Director of the Global Corporate Challenge (sold his company in August this year), a global corporate fitness program that has seen 300 000 people from 85 countries get active. He is the Ambassador for the Victorian Government's Go for you life program, written 3 international best selling books of health and fitness, and now works as an advisor to global corporations of health and well-being.

Freedman_EmmaGeneration Y—Emma Freedman

Emma Freedman is widely regarded as one of Australia’s brightest emerging talents. From early beginnings in the sport of horse racing, she has quickly expanded her involvement in media, fashion, sport and entertainment, capturing the attention of industry leaders and consumers alike.

Emma’s experience covers a range of respected brands and media outlets, including long term agreements with; Nine Network as an on-air presenter across programs including TODAY, Wide World of Sport and live coverage of major thoroughbred race days, leading retailer David Jones in an ambassadorial role and she has recently been appointed an ambassador for You Can—an initiative of the Sony Foundation that raises funds to build standalone youth cancer wards in Australian hospitals.

Over the past three years Emma has also enjoyed successful media partnerships with the Herald Sun and The Age, 3AW, Fox FM and SEN and Thorough Vision.

tom_rebearnGeneration Y—Tom Reaburn
Legal Advisor, Governance and Compliance, Queensland water industry

Tom Reaburn is an in-house Legal Advisor within the Queensland water industry with a focus on providing legal and practical support to the business’ transition to the new Work Health and Safety laws. Prior to this role Tom was a Comcare Investigator with the Regional Service Queensland team and managed a number of Commonwealth investigations. During his time at Comcare Tom also managed the first national Cooperative Compliance Program between Comcare, John Holland and state based employers and regulators on the Airport Link Project. Tom has degrees in law and psychological sciences and honours thesis on bullying prevention and its integration into law.
