The theme of this year’s Conference was:

People at work –workplace health and safety into the future

The conference incorporated sub-themes that focused on key elements essential for workplace safety. These were:

  • Integration – Optimising health, safety and rehabilitation management for improved outcomes
  • Investment – The benefits of continued investment in a safe workplace
  • Strategies – Organisational solutions that will have a lasting impact on health and safety.


The objectives of the conference were to:

  • Examine contemporary issues and explore continuous improvement opportunities in OHS, injury management, rehabilitation and return to work
  • Provide participants with professional development and networking opportunities
  • Raise awareness to recognise the importance of organisational health as a critical success factor in all Australian organisations
  • Deliver relevant information, ideas and strategies to assist organisations to develop their capabilities and improve their rehabilitation and return to work practices.
