Fraud

What is Fraud?

Fraud is any deceitful or dishonest conduct, involving acts or omissions or the making of false statements, orally or in writing, with the object of obtaining money or other benefit, or evading a liability. In general terms fraud is the use of deceit to obtain an advantage or avoid an obligation.

Protecting Public Revenue

The funds administered by Comcare are public funds, to which all taxpayers contribute. One of Comcare’s prime obligations is to protect those funds against fraud.
