Using the Second Edition of the Guide to the Assessment of the Degree of Permanent Impairment

The Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act provides for lump sum payments where an injury results in permanent impairment. This half-day course will provide participants with:

• an overview of the PI provisions and the non economic loss provisions in the SRC Act
• principles of assessment
• background to the changes of the PI Guide and
• a summary of changes to the PI tables and the specific rules calculating whole person impairment (WPI) rating.
