Workers’ compensation claim form going live

Comcare's Workers' compensation claim form goes live today. This form enables employees to complete workers' compensation claims online.

Comcare is committed to initiatives that provide more responsive, relevant and cost-effective services, including streamlined processes and greater flexibility in how you interact with us.

Building on recent work to simplify the claim form, the new format allows employees to upload supporting documents and sign the form digitally.

Mandatory fields in the online claim form will ensure Comcare collects all the necessary information it needs to determine claims, reduce delays and improve data quality.

Reimbursement of medical expenses has also been separated from the claim form so we can identify and process receipts more efficiently.

A subsequent staged rollout to employers will automate the online claim lodgement process further. Soon, employers will be able to submit their part of the claim form online.

We are confident that the new procedures will better support remote employees, minimise delays resulting from lost documentation, improve information accuracy and increase the time available for us to support employees to recover at work or to return to work and health.
