Comcare will be celebrating Health and Safety Month from 9 October until 28 October. During this month, we will be launching activities that promote our theme:
‘De-stress your mind and body’.
National Mental Health Week (9–16 October) begins our Health and Safety Month. Mental Health week is an opportunity to increase our awareness and understanding of mental illness, reduce its stigma and promote positive mental health.
The workplace can trigger or aggravate mental health conditions—impacting on a worker’s ability to function effectively at work.
To coincide with Mental Health Week, we ask that you show mindful leadership and cultivate emotional resilience within your teams by encouraging and displaying respect, responsibility and collaborative work behaviours.
We are also showcasing ways you and your organisation can support and promote the mental health and wellbeing of workers, including a video, Collage of Insights, by members of the Advisory Group for the Centre of Excellence in Mental Health and Wellbeing.
De-stressed minds and bodies will lead to happier, healthier and more productive workers. We encourage you to promote Mental Health Week in your workplace.
