New qualification in injury management
Comcare, in partnership with the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC), has launched a new nationally accredited qualification in injury rehabilitation management.
The Certificate IV in Government - Injury Rehabilitation Management is targeted at case managers, return to work coordinators and Approved Rehabilitation Program Providers working within the Comcare scheme. It provides a professional qualification that recognises the important skills and capabilities needed to achieve effective return to work outcomes.
The qualification can be gained by demonstrating the required skills and knowledge against 15 units of competency. This can be achieved through participating in the Comcare and APSC training courses, undertaking the assessment process and/or getting recognition of prior learning.
