Consultation on Principles of Practice for Workplace Rehabilitation Providers

The Heads of Workers’ Compensation Authorities have released a consultation draft on the Principles of Practice for Workplace Rehabilitation Providers.

In December 2018 the Heads of Workers’ Compensation Authorities (HWCA) announced the outcome of the review of the Nationally Consistent Approval Framework for Workplace Rehabilitation Providers.

HWCA agreed to replace the NCAF with a principles-based framework for the delivery of workplace rehabilitation provider services.  A working group of representatives from each jurisdiction was established to progress this new framework and prepare a consultation draft. The current NCAF continues to be in place pending the outcome of this work.

The Heads of Workers’ Compensation Authorities (HWCA) is now seeking your feedback.  A consultation draft on the Principles of Practice for Workplace Rehabilitation Providers is now available for comment.  A copy of the Consultation Draft can be accessed on the HWCA website.

Please provide your written comments to HWCA at: hwca@comcare.gov.au. The closing date for feedback is 10 July 2019.

Please direct any queries about the review to the HWCA secretariat at hwca@comcare.gov.au.
