Design good work for good mental health

Creating the right work environment and managing potential sources of harm (such as high work demands, low levels of control and poor support) will benefit everyone at work.

The Australian Work Health and Safety Strategy 2012-2022 has called out keeping workers healthy and safe by design as a key action area to achieve a healthy and safe workplace.

Workplaces - especially managers - need to design work in a way that does not cause undue stress and provides meaningful work to support engagement and productivity. This is achieved by:
