
Body stressing is the result of soft tissue injuries that typically arise from repetitive movement or conducting manual tasks. Body stressing injuries usually present as muscle aches and pains, back conditions and muscle strains. Poor posture and work environments also contribute to body stressing injuries.
Soft tissue injuries and associated pyscosocial injuries resulting from periods of disabiltity and or absences from the workplace.
Employers have a duty of care to take all reasonably practicable steps to protect the health and safety of employees at work and to provide an environment that is safe and without risk to health. This includes conducting regular assessments to assess employees work load and practices and to provide necessary modifications or alterations to work practices to eliminate or reduce the likeliehood of an injury occuring.
