About the 2008 Seacare Conference
The theme of the 2008 Seacare Conference was Best Practice OHS in the Australian Maritime Industry.
It included presentations from prominent industry figures on the major issues confronting the Seacare scheme as well as the maritime industry.
The Conference featured OHS experts from outside the industry with experience in improving OHS outcomes in other high-risk industry sectors. There were presentations from the OHS Inspectorate as well as an inspiring address from the 1988 Australian of the Year, Kay Cottee - the first woman to sail around the world, solo, unassisted and non-stop.
