About the 2008 Seacare Awards
Winners of the 2008 Seacare Awards were announced at the Awards Gala Dinner held on Thursday 16 October.
The 2008 Seacare Awards were presented at a special industry gathering and dinner on the 16 October at Doltone House, Sydney. Click here to view the Program of Events.The Seacare Awards are designed to recognise and acknowledge positive and innovative initiatives by employers, operators, seafarers and others who are leading the way in best practice OHS, rehabilitation and return to work programs.
The four Award categories were:
Category one: Best Workplace Health and Safety Management System*
Category two: Best Solution to an Identified Workplace Health and Safety Issue*
Category three: Best Rehabilitation and Return to Work Program
Category four: Best Individual Contribution to Workplace Health and Safety*
*Categories one, two and four align with the National Safe Work Australia Awards. Winners of these Seacare Awards will be considered for the National Safety Awards in 2009.
