Licence conditions and performance standards of a licence
The SRC Commission expects licensees to continuously improve their occupational health and safety, rehabilitation and claims management performance outcomes, to comply with licence conditions and to meet performance standards of licence.
The self insurance conditions of licence require compliance with the SRC Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1991. A licensee is subject to audits, OHS investigations and other evaluations and is required to meet financial, prudential, and performance reporting requirements as part of the conditions of licence.
The performance standards of a self insurance licence require licensees to develop and implement effective management systems for prevention, rehabilitation and claims management, and to work towards the attainment of outcome-based performance goals.
Licensee performance against a number of SRC Commission indicators and associated performance targets is reported to the SRC Commission twice-yearly. The indicators cover prevention, rehabilitation, claims management and scheme administration. The full year performance of licensees against selected SRC Commission indicators is published in the SRC Commission’s annual report.
