Asbestos Innovation Fund
Welcome to the Comcare Asbestos Innovation Fund webpage.
Comcare has been working with innovative researchers, medical providers, community groups and others wanting to make a difference to asbestos-related diseases and exposure in Australia. If you are interested in asbestos-related disease, preventing it or new treatment approaches for asbestos sufferers, please read on.
Senator the Hon Christopher Evans launched a $1.5 million fund to support research projects and new initiatives or programs that prevent or better manage asbestos exposure or improve treatment for asbestos disease sufferers.

To help choose which projects are sponsored, Comcare has established an assessment panel for the Asbestos Innovation Fund. Panel members have a range of skills and experience, and represent the medical and research fields as well as the community.
