WHS Act in a day (New)
The course fee is $700 (GST inclusive) and includes course materials and refreshments. For $800, the fee includes assessment for the Certificate IV in Government—Injury Rehabilitation Management or Statement of attainment—Contribute to workplace safety.
This one day training course will provide information for work health and safety practitioners within the Commonwealth jurisdiction to enable them to understand their duty of care obligations under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS Act). Particular emphasis is given to risk management requirements and other compliance issues.
An understanding of their role in workplace arrangements Participants will also gain:
- an understanding of the Model WHS Act
- role of Comcare, Regulator for WHS,lLicence compliance
- duty of care to employees, third parties and contractors
- risk management, hazard identification, risk assessment, risk control, monitoring, documentation and review
- employees duties
- manufacturers , suppliers installer and erectors of plant and/or substances
- an overview of regulations & codes of practice
- an overview of workplace arrangements
- compliance, including notification of accidents and dangerous occurrences; Comcare Investigations and appeals and prosecutions
