Managing staff with stress responses

Facilitated by Merryn Crawford, the overall aim of this one-day workshop program is to prepare and empower supervisors to promote positive workplace cultures, and to recognise, act on and appropriately manage early behavioural warning signs of stress.

Participants attending this program will be able to:

  • define stress and psychological injury
  • identify stress responses in their employees
  • know the impact on themselves, the staff member and the organisation of stress within the workplace and of not managing stress responses early
  • devise strategies to promote positive workplace cultures
  • act early and appropriately when observing behaviours which may be stress responses
  • utilise constructive communication skills for first, second and subsequent conversations
  • gain confidence in managing staff during upheaval and change
  • use appropriate support resources.
