About Virtual Office

Virtual Office is a risk management tool to help you identify hazards and control risks in an office environment.

It is designed to assist employers, employees and health and safety representatives operating under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 1991.

It can be used when:

  • Developing and reviewing your health and safety management arrangements (HSMAs)
  • Developing practical solutions for applying the risk management principles of the Occupational Health and Safety Code of Practice 2008
  • Looking for specific guidance on common objects or hazards found in the workplace.

Virtual Office uses a cross section of typical rooms found in an office environment. Where appropriate, Virtual Office provides links to relevant publications, guidance material and legislation.
