New training program available from the Driving Health Project supported by Comcare
2 December 2021
As part of Comcare’s ongoing partnership with Driving Health, the research team led by Monash University has developed the Driving Health Allocator Training Program (DHAT) for truck driver allocators, supervisors and line managers.
The overarching goal of the DHAT program is to increase awareness and understanding within the transport industry about factors they can influence to support and improve the health and wellbeing of truck drivers across Australia.
How to participate
- Begin at Driving Health Allocator Training program
- The online program is free, confidential, and only takes 20 minutes to complete
- Participants will be asked a few questions about their work in the trucking industry and factors impacting truck driver health
- Upon completion, free downloadable resources are available on ways to support and improve the health and wellbeing of drivers
The Driving Health project commenced in 2019 with a national health and wellbeing survey for Australian truck drivers. Comcare has supported the project since this time along with partners Linfox, NSW Centre for WHS and the Transport Workers Union. For more information, visit the Driving Health website.
