Workplace sexual harassment – new webinar with Kate Jenkins

Preventing workplace sexual harassment and strengthening responses to it will be the focus of a Comcare webinar this month.
Building a culture of respect: Workplace sexual harassment – never part of the job will feature Sex Discrimination Commissioner Kate Jenkins and Comcare CEO Sue Weston.
The event, on 18 August 2021, will discuss:
- Drivers, impacts and at-risk groups for workplace sexual harassment
- Prevention strategies – leadership, risk management, culture and knowledge
- Strengthening responses – in the physical workplace and with the shift to the online workplace during the pandemic
The webinar is part of Comcare’s commitment to provide education and training to help employers and workers understand, prevent and report workplace sexual harassment, and to meet their obligations under Commonwealth work health and safety laws.
A key part of Comcare’s education program is guidance for the scheme – including regulatory and practical information on duties and obligations for employers, workers, and managers and supervisors. This guidance will also be discussed at the Building a culture of respect webinar.
