You are invited to join colleagues within Comcare's jurisdiction who have WHS responsibilities to share information and knowledge.

Session details

Comcare has organised a guest speaker, Dr Matt Brearley who will be presenting on the subject of Heat Stress in the Workplace - Causes, Consequences and Cures.

Dr Matt Brearley holds a PhD in Thermal Physiology and was the heat specialist of the 2008 Australian Olympic team in Beijing, China prior to focusing on occupational heat stress. Matt provides heat stress mitigation services to a wide range of industries including mining, construction, oil and gas, transportation, law enforcement and emergency services. His work has been acknowledged with awards for research and innovation, best conference paper and presentations, recognition by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science and as a 2015 NSW Mining Awards finalist.
