Comcare is an agency of the Australian Government.
Comcare is part of the Minister of Employment and Workplace Relations, the Hon Amanda Rishworth MP.
Comcare’s Chief Executive Officer is Colin Radford.
Our organisation is structured into 6 groups:
- Strategy and Performance - General Manager, Michael Duke
- Claims Management - General Manager, Lachlan Vivian-Taylor
- Corporate - Chief Operating Officer, Leanne Blackley
- Legal - General Manager, Louise Close
- Regulatory Operations - General Manager, Justin Napier
- Education and Engagement - General Manager, Megan Buick
The Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission and Seacare are also a part of the portfolio.

In 2023, Comcare undertook a Self-initiated Internal Capability Review (PDF, 1.0 MB), to understand how best to deliver our strategic priorities of preventing work-related injuries and delivering better return to work outcomes across the jurisdiction.
