Comcare regularly holds events and forums to provide opportunities for organisations to share expertise and drive best practice in the sector.

Our events aim to educate, enhance and challenge Australian organisations to achieve their workplace safety, compensation and rehabilitation objectives. They also offer participants the opportunity to network with industry peers and take part in various discussions and activities.

Join us at the 2022 Comcare National Conference to be held on 7 and 8 June 2022 at the National Convention Centre in Canberra. It has been four years since our last conference – and we’re excited it is back, live and in-person – in a COVID-safe way of course.

Transport Network Forum (19 May 2022)

The Transport Network Forum provides an opportunity for Comcare and the transport and logistics industry to:

  • discuss their challenges to manage industry specific work health and safety risks and hazards
  • hear from industry experts and peers
  • talk through initiatives to help manage and prevent injury of workers.

Mental Health Community of Practice

An event held twice a year for those working in the Comcare’s jurisdiction to discuss and share issues and strategies within the workplace.

Rehabilitation Case Manager Forum (24 March 2022)

The Rehabilitation Case Manager Forum on Thursday 24 March 2022 focused on practical skills to assist Rehabilitation Case Managers to engage effectively with employees and support positive RTW outcomes in a pandemic impacted society.

Claims Manager Forum (23 June 2022)

This online event provided an opportunity for claims managers and other scheme stakeholders to discuss matters of common interest under the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act).

Workplace Sexual Harassment National Forum (11-12 November 2021)

Workplace sexual harassment is widespread and pervasive across Australian workplaces. In every industry, every location and at every level. A national forum was held on 11-12 November 2021 for employers, workers and WHS regulators.

Rehabilitation Case Manager Forum (28 October 2021)

The last Rehabilitation Case Manager forum was on Thursday 28 October 2021. The forum covered supporting recovery and returning to work through workplace accommodations and employee empowerment.

Claims Manager Forum 2021 (30 September 2021)

This online event provided an opportunity to hear about the latest initiatives and legislative changes occurring across the Scheme, and will help promote a consistent approach to applying the SRC Act.
