Comcare Corporate Plan 2026–27 now available
The corporate plan is our primary strategic planning document that provides our people, Parliament, our stakeholders and the public with an understanding of our purpose, strategy, operating context, and how we will measure performance.
The Comcare Corporate Plan 2026–27 is centred around the Comcare Strategy 2028, which focuses our efforts, partnerships and investments towards 2 strategic priorities to achieve our purpose:
- prevent work related injuries
- deliver better return to work outcomes.
For 2026–27, we have revised strategic enablers to sharpen our focus on the operating foundations that are essential to delivering our purpose and strategic priorities. They are:
- financial sustainability
- operational efficiency and
- our people.
We have shifted to a smaller, more deliberate set of external measures that place a greater emphasis on our strategic priorities. The key change for 2026–27 is the introduction of a new performance measure adopted from the Australian Work Health and Safety Strategy 2023–2033 – ‘Reduction in work-related fatalities and serious injuries.’ This strengthened measure will be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of what we are here to do as a work health and safety regulator and hold us accountable for our role in preventing work-related injuries across our scheme.
