About the report

  • Description: This report provides mechanism of injury information on accepted claims with a date of injury in the chose period, by costs, incapacity and number of claims. Graphs and charts are provided for each.
  • Access level required: Management level access.
  • Export options: .pdf and .rtf
  • Benefits: This can be used as a quick summary of the average cost, number of claims, and incapacity data of each major category or mechanism of incident. This information can be useful to identify priority areas for injury prevention and case management strategies. It can also be utilised to monitor performance trends over time.
  • Parameters: This report represents accepted claims with a date of injury in period chosen.
    Total Cost: as at date of case estimates, sum of costs to date and likely future cost.

Mechanism Injury Major Group Refers to the classification groups within the Type of Occurrence Classification System (TOOCS).
Uncapped Incurred ($) The sum of the cost to date and future cost estimate on the most recent estimate date.
Avg. Tot. Cost ($) The sum of the cost to date and future cost estimate on the most recent estimate date divided by the number of accepted claims in the period.
Cost to Date ($) The total of costs incurred on the claim as of yesterday.
Weeks Lost Total number of weeks lost for accepted claims in the period.
Avg. Weeks Lost Total number of weeks lost divided by the total number of accepted claims in the period.
No. Accepted Claims The total number of accepted claims in the period.
