New scheme guidance for claims managers

Comcare has released two new scheme guidance publications to assist claims managers in applying the provisions of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.

Provisions under the SRC Act to prevent double payment of compensation

• Provisions under the SRC Act to prevent double payment of compensation – provides guidance on the legislative provisions under the SRC Act that prevent an employee or a dependant of a deceased employee from receiving double payment of compensation.

Reasonable excuse

• Reasonable excuse - provides guidance regarding the term ‘reasonable excuse’ as it appears in the SRC Act.
