National Safe Work Month

Comcare proudly supports National Safe Work Month, an annual initiative led by Safe Work Australia to promote workplace health and safety.

This year’s theme, Safe work is for life, reflects the fundamental purpose of work health and safety: preventing work-related death, injury and illness, while recognising the long-term impact workplace harm can have on workers, families, businesses and communities.

This October, we're hosting a program of free webinars that will highlight practical ways we can each contribute to safe and healthy work.

Mental Health Community of Practice: Culturally safe workplaces in practice

Wednesday 14 October, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm AEDT

Creating culturally safe workplaces is essential to building a high-performing and diverse workforce where all employees can thrive. Presented by Steve Meyer, Senior Psychologist, National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), this free, interactive, in-person workshop is designed to build the practical capability of HR and WHS practitioners.

This session is only available to representatives from organisations in the Commonwealth WHS jurisdiction.

Creating sustainable workplaces through SMART work design

Good work design supports sustainable workplaces where people can perform at their best. This webinar will explore how managers can use SMART work design to manage psychosocial risks to create sustainable workplaces. Participants will apply learnings to a workplace case study and leave with practical ideas they can use in their own organisations.
