This workshop provides WRPs knowledge of the health benefits of good work, early intervention, and rehabilitation assessments, programs, and work trials under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act).

Rehabilitation case management

This program will provide an overview of key concepts to assist Rehabilitation Case Managers understand their workplace rehabilitation obligations under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act).

    Workers’ compensation payroll

    This workshop provides participants with a basic understanding of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 (SRC Act) and builds knowledge about the information Comcare requires from premium paying agencies to determine claims for workers' compensation leave (incapacity payments). Particular emphasis is placed on calculating entitlements and how this relates to completing Comcare's forms.

    Type of Occurrence Classification System/TOOCS

    This workshop provides participants working in the field of workers’ compensation in the Commonwealth jurisdiction with the skills and knowledge to correctly apply the TOOCS classification codes in relation to health and safety incidents in the workplace. The course describes the sixteen rules for coding workplace injuries or incidents in line with TOOCS.

    A supervisor’s WHS responsibilities

    This workshop enables managers and supervisors within the Commonwealth jurisdiction to understand their responsibilities under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) (WHS Act). Particular emphasis is given to a manager's role in exercising the person conducting a business or undertaking's duty of care and ways to improve WHS performance.

    A guide to psychosocial hazard management

    This workshop focuses on preventing psychological harm to workers using a risk management approach. Participants will consider potential hazards workplaces that arise from work related stress, job design, organisational change and poor workplace relationships.

    A practical guide to managing WHS incidents

    This workshop will provide participants with an understanding of incident notification under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) (WHS Act) including the what, why and how of incident notification as well as the tools and knowledge to undertake simple root cause analysis of accidents and incidents.

    Workplace sexual harassment: Leaders influencing positive change

    This 90-minute workshop is designed for leaders and employers on their roles, responsibilities, and duties in relation to the prevention of sexual harassment in the workplace.

    Leaders will understand the drivers of sexual harassment, how to eliminate or mitigate these risks, learn how to apply positive actions to reduce sexual harassment in the workplace and influence positive cultural change.

    Workplace sexual harassment: Manager workshop

    This half day interactive workshop is designed for managers, work health and safety representatives and human resource (HR) officers and their responsibilities under the WHS Act.

    The workshop will explore impacts and prevention strategies, how to identify risks and hazards, reporting and responding to workplace incidents, and the importance of promoting psychologically healthy workplaces and a positive workplace safety culture.
