Providing better practice Employer Assistance Program (EAP) services
This project will develop evidence-informed guidance for Australian Public Service (APS) agencies to provide effective Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services.
Guidance will build upon industry practices and support employers to procure, promote and monitor effective Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services that deliver value for money and improve participant health and wellbeing.
The key objectives include to:
- create resources, such as frameworks and checklists, that guide and support effective procurement and monitoring of EAP services
- provide guidance on effective promotional activity to reduce stigma and increase employee engagement with EAP services.
Currently in the development phase, Comcare is collaborating with employers from across the Australian Public Service (APS) to support the delivery of the project.
