Approval of rehabilitation providers
Workplace rehabilitation providers must have current Comcare approval in place to deliver rehabilitation programs under the Comcare, Seacare Authority or Military Compensation schemes.
Who can apply
Before applying, you should review our workplace rehabilitation provider framework to check eligibility criteria and the standards and performance expectations for providers in the scheme.
The workplace rehabilitation provider framework includes:
Criteria for approval
These criteria relate to your qualifications, probity and financial arrangements.
For more information, see Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (Criteria for Approval and Renewal of Rehabilitation Program Providers) Determination 2020
Operational standards
Comcare set minimum standards workplace rehabilitation providers need to achieve throughout the approval period. They relate to effectiveness, availability and cost of service delivery.
For more information, see Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act (Operational Standards for Rehabilitation Program Providers) Determination 2020
Conditions for ongoing approval
There are conditions you must continue to comply with once you have been approved. Failing to comply with these conditions may result in cancelling your approval.
For more information, see Workplace Rehabilitation Provider Conditions of Approval (PDF, 137.1 KB)
Performance monitoring framework
The framework sets out Comcare’s service delivery and performance requirements, including our approach to monitoring workplace rehabilitation provider performance.
