We are committed to publishing our information proactively. This includes meeting our obligation under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 to publish a range of information in our Information Publication Scheme.
As part of our Information Publication Scheme, we must publish a range of information on our website.
Comcare is required under section 8(2)(a) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 to publish the Comcare Agency Information Publication Scheme Plan (PDF, 190.2 KB). This describes how we meet our obligations under the Act.
Who we are
Comcare is required under sections 8(2)(b) and 8(2)(d) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 to publish information about the organisation and structure of the agency, the location of offices, governance arrangements, senior management team and statutory appointments. This information is available on the pages set out below.
What we do
Comcare is required under sections 8(2)(c) and 8(2)(j) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 to publish a description of the functions and powers of the agency, and the rules, guidelines, practices and precedents relating to those functions and powers.

Reports and responses to parliament
Comcare is required under sections 8(2)(e) and 8(2)(h) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 to publish annual reports laid before the Parliament, and other information routinely provided to the Parliament:
Freedom of Information Disclosure Log and routinely requested information
Comcare is required under sections 8(2)(g) and 11C of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 to publish information to which the agency routinely gives access in response to freedom of information requests and the disclosure log of information that has been released under the Act.
Information that can be published resulting from freedom of information requests and any routinely released information from such requests is found in our Freedom of Information Disclosure Log.
Comcare is required under section 8(2)(f) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 to publish information about consultation arrangements that enable members of the public to comment on specific policy proposals we are responsible for.

Under section 8(4) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, Comcare publishes information about our priorities which are described in our corporate plan.
Under section 8(4) of the Freedom of Information Act 1982, Comcare publishes information about our finances, including what we spend and how we spend it, our financial statements and our financial management practices.
Applies to Beneficiary Trust Account funds.
How the Safety Rehabilitation and Compensation Commission and Comcare implement cost recovery for activities and functions relating to self-insured licensees under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988.
Applies to Comcare-retained premium funds. It does not apply to the Commonwealth-retained premium funds held with the Australian Government.
